MANNIX HANDGUN TRAINING originates on Santa Rita Ranch in the Animas River Valley fifteen miles south of Durango, Colorado.  A private handgun shooting range has been built below grade to shelter from wind, dust and spectators, and is proximate to a residence where toilets and refrigeration are available.  You will bring your own lunch, wear layered clothing, sturdy footwear, hat, eye- and ear-protection and sunscreen. 

MANNIX HANDGUN TRAINING is a daylong skills training on the shooting range with only brief safety instructions in a classroom setting at the start of the day and lunch on a shaded porch when particulars of handgun laws, traveling restrictions, child safety, handgun selection, maintenance and etiquette are shared.  You will bring a handgun and 100 rounds of wadcutter or cheap target ammunition. 

Santa Rita Ranch is downstream from a number of hotels and motels with a variety of room rates and services, including transportation to and from the Durango/La Plata Airport and Santa Rita Ranch.  Air service is available from Denver, Phoenix, Dallas and seasonally from Los Angeles.  Durango is a seven hour drive from Denver and four hours by car from Albuquerque.
